“Jan sells her books at a reduced price to not-for-profit organizations to assist with fundraising efforts. I ordered 25 copies which were sent to me immediately (autographed and paw-tographed even!) at an incredibly affordable price. In fact, after selling only 8 books, our animal welfare group had paid for our initial investment, so every penny collected from the remaining 17 books will go directly into our group!
I encourage other animal welfare groups to take advantage of the opportunity Jan and Chiclet are providing. The ability to offer something unique to contribu tors -- something they can actually use -- is invaluable!”

Chiclet and I did
our very first book signing at Barnes and Noble bookstore in Encinitas, CA. We pledged 10% of our proceeds that day to SNAP, the Spay Neuter Action Project, a group providing low cost sterilization to dogs and cats. (Barnes and Noble also contributed from sales of all books that day.) SNAP has elected to take their proceeds in books, which they can sell to make even more money.
Chiclet was asked to be a guest supermodel in a doggy fashion show benefiting Friends of Palm Springs Animal Shelter. The canine couturiere is

Chiclet loved her first walk on a red carpet. See us below right with Jacqueline Berman,
then VP of Development for the shelter.

But it was a long two days of book signings benefiting charities, finishing at a Las Vegas Border's Books.
